Exporting

Get the crawl, a page, or an artifact out as CSV, JSON, Markdown, or a Google Sheet.

Summarize

Export lives in three places, and each one exports a different thing: the crawl, one inspector tab, or an artifact.

The crawl

⌘E or Export beside the command bar opens Export crawl data. The regular export uses the columns visible on the table.

When filters are active, choose Filtered view for the rows left in the table or Full table for every page in the crawl. Each option shows its page count. Exclusions have already removed pages from both sets.

Choose CSV or JSON for a downloaded file. Drive creates a Google Sheet and needs a paid plan plus the connector in Settings → Connectors.

Zoomed into a semantic group on the map, Export is a shortcut: it downloads that group's pages as CSV without opening the dialog.

Build a custom export

Choose Custom → Build custom when the visible table columns are not the set you need. Build a new export starts empty each time.

  1. Search by field name or ID, or browse the same groups as the column picker.
  2. Select fields on the left. Use Start from my table columns if the visible set is a useful starting point.
  3. Check the first rows in Preview. Use Clear to start over.
  4. Choose CSV, JSON, or Drive, then export.

The builder also includes fields that do not make useful table columns:

  • Page Markdown and Content Text
  • Internal Link URLs and External Link URLs
  • Anchor Texts

These carry a small content label in the field list. The preview shows up to ten rows and uses — for an empty cell. During a live crawl, content previews may be thinner until the crawl is saved.

Drive leaves content fields out of a custom export. If your set contains only those fields, use CSV or JSON instead.

One inspector tab

Each tab that has data to export gets its own Export button in the footer: content, schema, issues, links, related pages, concepts, or group fit. It exports that tab's current filtered view, not the whole crawl. Formats are CSV, JSON, or Markdown depending on the tab. No Drive here, and no column-scope choice — a tab's shape is fixed.

An artifact

Sheets and documents download straight from the card or the workbench header: CSV for a sheet, Markdown for a document, PNG for a chart. Sheets and documents can also go to Drive from the same menu. Charts do not, yet.

One clause on formulas

Crawl exports quote any cell that starts with =, +, -, or @ so a spreadsheet does not try to run it as a formula. Nothing to configure.
