Ahrefs
Let the Silkra agent use Ahrefs backlink, keyword, and Site Explorer data for crawled URLs.
Ahrefs gives the agent external backlink and keyword evidence alongside the crawl. Calls use your Ahrefs account and spend its MCP units.
Connect with an MCP key
- In Ahrefs, open Account settings → API keys and create or copy an MCP key.
- In Silkra, open Settings → Connectors → Ahrefs.
- Paste the key and connect.
- Keep Available to agent on for this workspace.
Use an MCP key, not an API v3 key. Silkra sends the key to its API for safekeeping; it is not stored in the desktop app.
What the agent can ask
The connection covers Site Explorer metrics, organic keywords, keyword overviews, and other allowlisted Ahrefs research for a domain or URL. Ask for the outcome — for example, backlinks to a weak page or the organic terms behind a competitor URL — and the agent activates Ahrefs for that run.
Ahrefs requires a plan that includes MCP access. Row limits and unit costs come from your Ahrefs plan.
If the key is rejected, confirm its type and replace it on the connector. Reconnect means Silkra can no longer use the saved grant.
