Is crawl data uploaded to Silkra?
Silkra stores crawl projects on your machine by default. Account, billing, and subscription data are handled online, but your crawl data is local-first unless you explicitly choose to sync or share it.
Do I need an account after downloading?
Yes. After installing, sign in with your Silkra account to unlock plan access. Billing is processed by SearchMoat LLC, and usage limits follow your subscription.
What operating systems are supported?
The Mac download supports macOS 13 Ventura or later. The Windows download supports Windows 10 or later.
Can I use Silkra on more than one computer?
Yes. Download the app for each platform you need, then sign in with the same Silkra account on every machine covered by your plan.
Does the desktop app work offline?
Crawl projects and local analysis stay on your machine. You need a connection to sign in, manage billing, and sync account settings, but existing crawl data remains available offline.
How do app updates work?
The desktop app checks for updates on launch. When a new build is available, you get an in-app prompt to download and install it.
